With 2016 quickly coming to an end, we have just wrapped up our fourth full year of operations at the Cleveland Velodrome. Wow, does time fly!! The 2016 season was our best yet with record number of riders, racers and spectators. Our team is working on annual report that you’ll see later in January. In the meantime, you can check out some of the season’s best pictures here.
The 2016 season was also a record year for operating revenue which allowed us to hire a full time summer Program Coordinator. This was a huge step forward for the build out of our organization and for our Board. Despite record revenue, Annual Fund gifts remain an important part of our nonprofit mission – promoting the sport of cycling for its health and wellness benefits to youth and adult populations. To achieve our mission, we provide free bike rental, coaching and track time for children age 18 and under and our free Track 101 into course remains very, very popular. We need your help to continue to provide these free services to the community.
New for 2017, we are adding more cycling clinics, structured sessions and workshops, improving the concession area, expanding hours of operation, growing our merchandise selection, and we will be laying the groundwork for Phase 2 – a 65,000 square foot multi-purpose fitness center and sports complex that will house a new 200 meter velodrome track. Moving forward with these improvements and planning for Phase 2 requires additional funding. We need your help.
With that we’d like to request that you consider making an annual fund donation. No amount is too small. Remember as a 501c3 your donation to Fast Track Cycling is tax deductible. You can donate to the annual fund via credit card or PayPal by visiting our website or mail a check payable to Fast Track Cycling to 20595 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126.
Thanks and have a great holiday season!
