The Cleveland Velodrome Women’s Track Cycling Clinic is set for June 25th and June 26th. The Women’s Track Cycling Clinic is a two-day intensive program that offers expert instruction on track racing, cycling, building strength and endurance, and proper nutrition.
The Clinic is led by World Class athlete Mandy Marquardt, a track cyclist for Team Novo Nordisk, a global all-diabetes team of cyclists, triathletes, and runners, spearheaded by the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team. A 7-time USA Cycling National Champion, Mandy represented the United States at three 2014/2015 UCI Track World Cups, and on December of 2015 she was named to the USA Olympic Track Long Team.
The cost for the two-day clinic, sponsored by Whole Foods Market, is $50 which includes lunch both days plus bike rental and coaching. No track riding experience necessary.

Step 1 –Visit our website www.clevelandvelodrome.org and go to “Class & Race Schedule” at top of the page.
Step 2 – Create an account.
Step 3 – Go to “Online Store” and under “Services” and “Paid Track Classes” purchase a “2 Class Pack” of paid track classes (it’s a two day class).
Step 4 – Then go to “Class & Race Schedule” and “Sign Up Now” for both days.

Program Schedule
Saturday, June 25
9 am to 9:15 am Introductions
9:15 am to 10:15 am Presentation on nutrition by Denise Lemin, MHA, RD, CSG, LD. Denise is the Dietetic Internship Director at MetroHealth Hospital.
10:30 am to 12 noon Introduction to Track Cycling by Brett Davis and Mandy Marquardto
12 noon to 1 pm Lunch (participants are encouraged to ask questions during lunch)
1 pm to 4 pm Track workout (includes skills drills, team pursuit, etc.)
Sunday, June 26
9 am to 10 am Yoga for Cyclists (class held in the infield) by Laurie Myers, E-RYT 200.
10 am to noon Track time (includes skills drills, team pursuit, etc.)
12 noon to 1 pm Lunch (participants are encouraged to ask questions during lunch)
1 pm to 1:30 pm Strength & Conditioning Exercises
1:30 pm to 3 pm Track time (includes skills drills, team pursuit, Madison practices, etc.)
3 pm to 4 pm Q & A and Wrap Up.
