The NEOCycle festival is coming up on September 26 thru 28, 2014!! NEOCycle is an urban cycling festival consisting of competitive races and unique rides, connected by live entertainment and an interactive, action-filled festival at Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Park on the shores of Lake Erie. Registration prices increase September 1 so be sure to pre-register here.
NEOCycle features velodrome racing under the lights on Friday evening from 8:30pm to 10:30pm, cyclocross races on Saturday at Edgewater Park and a $3,000 Criterium around University Circle on Sunday. NEOCycle also features an urban night ride, a Fondo – and last but not least – a huge exhibition and entertainment “hub” at Edgewater Park all day Saturday. It’s going to be a blast!
The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission is putting on the festival and they are supporting the Cleveland Velodrome financially on Friday night. There will be exciting racing under the lights with more food trucks, more beer, and more prize money and awards.

Schedule of Events
4:00pm – Track Opens
5:00pm to 6:30pm – Open Riding for Season Pass Holders and Day Pass Holders
6:00pm – Race Registration and Beer Garden Open
6:30pm to 7:30pm – Learn how to ride the track with our Track 101 Class. Cost is $10 and includes bike rental, entrance to infield party and one free beer ticket. Space is limited to 15 participants. 8:30pm to 10:30pm – Racing Starts – 50 Lap Roll Up
10:30pm – Last Event of the Night – $250 – 15 Lap Keirin Race
We will have music and beverages(beer, wine, soft drinks and water) in the infield and there will be food trucks on site. Entry fee for spectators is $5.00 per person and includes one free beer. Special discounts for spectators if you ride your bike to the event. Registered Racers get free iinfield entry and one free beer ticket.
Our goal is to have 50 racers and 500 spectators at NEOCycle Friday night. We also want to include juniors and women categories. We will have pursuit racing for juniors and women that are not acclimated to mass start track racing. If you have raced at the Cleveland Velodrome or a similar track before – we hope to see you on Friday Night September 26th. If you have not raced with us or have not taken Track 101 – it’s not too late to learn to race at the velodrome. From now through NEOCycle – on Monday thru Friday from 5pm to 8pm, we offer Open Riding while weekends feature our very popular (and free) Track 101 classes, clinics, private events and Open Riding.
