Spectator Info:
The Velodrome features high-speed cycling action on the track, bleacher and infield seating and great food and drinks available for all spectators. Infield and Bleachers tickets are only $5 and FREE for Velodrome Members and youth under 18! Gates open 1 hour prior to posted race start.
Races will be a mix of Friday and Saturday evenings. Each race typically features an average of 40 to 50 racers and 100’s of spectators. The two hour (+-) race program is thrilling and blends exciting race action, heart thumping music, and an engaging PA announcer. There are food and beverage available plus a race program to keep the spectators informed.
Racer Info:
Enjoying our sixth year, our race series continues to grow in terms of race participants and spectators. The races are sanctioned by USA Cycling and a license is required for racers.
All racers who have not previously raced at our track should contact our race director for approval and to be placed in an appropriate field.
Registration Fees:
- $25 and free for all youth under 18.
- One day licenses are available for $10 for those who do not have annual licenses.
Prize:
- There will be nightly payouts for Men’s and Women’s 1/2/3 fields.
- Series winners from M/F 123 Fields will win a Velocity Track Wheelset!
Events: Events will be changed at each race to give variety and will include Scratch Race, Points Race, Miss and Out, Tempo, Match Sprint, and Time Trials. Demonstration races will include Keirin, Team Pursuit/ Team Sprint, and Madison.
Race Scoring: Races will be scored as an omnium. Each group will be scored separately. The first five riders will be awarded points based on finish order in each event: 7,5,3,2,1 points. The total score will determine the day’s winners.
Series Scoring: The series will be scored as an omnium (same as above) with no drops.
