Dear Cleveland Velodrome Supporters and Cycling Fans,
The 2015 was our best season yet at the Cleveland Velodrome. The season was highlighted by strong growth of our existing youth and adult programs, exciting bicycle racing action, the successful launch of several new programs, and hiring our first paid staff person. Below is a summary of some of our highlights and accomplishments for the year.
Free Programs
- Monday Youth Night – 12 sessions and 56 participants – NEW PROGRAM
- Boys & Girls Club Youth Cycling – 3 sessions and 24 participants
- Track 101 – 16 classes and 143 participants
- Cleveland Critical Mass Night at the Velodrome – 500 spectators and racing under the lights
Paid Programs
- Track 201/301/Motorpacing – 20 sessions and 95 participants
- Ohio Savings & Tkach Consulting Women’s Clinic with Beth Newell Hernandez – 2 Days and 46 participants – NEW PROGRAM
- Felt Bicycles Friday Series – 7 races and 140 participants
- Vocon Ohio Track Cup – 5 Races and 100 participants
- Ohio Track Championships – 2 days of racing
- Sunday TT Series – 4 races
- NEOCycle Night of Thunder p/b Litzler Automation
Attendance Information
- 3,295 total visitors – up 48% from 2014
- 880 Race & Event Spectators
- 107 Members (98 Unlimited Riding Members and 9 “Dromehead” Members)
- 182 Junior Riders (140 unique)
- 1,180 Adult Riders (356 unique)
- 21 total race days – 233 Track Racers (81 unique)
Organizational Improvements
- Redesigned logo and website
- Implemented MindBody software for scheduling and point of sale system
- 25 unique program volunteers and 342 volunteer hours
- Volunteer orientation and training sessions
- Two new board trustees – Dave Bartels and Beth Rowell
- Employed a full time summer Program Director – Steve Green
- Retained a part time Marketing Director
