TRACK OPENS MAY 1 May 8
Fast Track Cycling is a nonprofit 501c3 corporation that owns and operates the Cleveland Velodrome which is located at I-77 and Broadway Avenue in the Slavic Village/Broadway neighborhood. A velodrome is a banked oval track for recreational and competitive bicycling. Our velodrome facility is the only one in Ohio and one of only 26 in the United States. The facility opened in 2012 and last year drew nearly 5,000 visitors comprised of youth and adult cyclists and race spectators. In 2015 we are projecting total attendance of 10,000 men, women and children.
As an outdoor venue, we are open seasonally 6 months per year – from May 1 thru October 31. Racing season starts in mid May and ending with the grand finale on Friday September 11 with NEOCycle-Night of Thunder. The track is open Monday thru Friday 5pm to 8pm and weekends 10am to 6pm. We provide free bikes and classes youth and our Track 101 class is free for adults (includes bike rental). Free programming is part of our mission to promote the sport of bicycling for its health and recreational benefits. We also host 20 races per year that attract thousands of spectators with thrilling race action on the 50 degree steep corners, heart thumping music and infield and bleacher seating. Operations of the facilities and grounds are funded via revenue from membership sales, drop in sessions, paid classes, ticket sales, donations, merchandising and concessions. The vision is to build a 50,000 sq. ft. building over the current track that will provide winter cycling opportunities and generate an economic impact for the City of Cleveland by attracting visitors, hotel room nights and other investment to the neighborhood.

The track opens May 1 and the first of our free Track 101 classes are May 16th and May 30th. Classes fill up quickly, so be sure to reserve your spot today. Kids are able to sign up for Track 101, but if you prefer a kids only option be sure to register for the free Monday Night Youth Program that kicks off May 11th.
If you have already taken our very popular Track 101 class – you are able to take it again – at no cost. For those that want to go beyond Track 101, our paid classes are available with Track 201 and Track 301 classes which start on May 6th and run all summer. Lastly, if you want to come out and ride, you can pay as you go or purchase a Membership that provides unlimited riding. Memberships can be purchased with or without bike rentals – in a single payment or on a 12 month payment plan. Discounted memberships are available if you work in the bike industry and for college students. All Memberships are discounted 20% between now and May 1. Information on our pricing can be found here.
Lastly, for spectators – our first race of the season – the 500 & 1,000 Lap Challenge is Saturday May 16th followed by our first evening race on Friday June 5th from 6pm to 8pm. Be sure to mark your calendar.
