Volunteer

As we get closer to achieving our Phase I goals (i.e. the 166 meter outdoor track) and the June 2012 grand opening, Fast Track is on the lookout for volunteers and in “kind donations” including but not limited to:

Track Assembly – the steel undercarriage of the track will be fabricated off site and then shipped to Slavic Village site on three (3) semi trailers at which point it will need to be assembled.  We will need 20 to 30 volunteers laborers over a several week period in May of 2012.  Think – giant erector set!!

Welders – We need a few people with welding experience (and welding equipment if available).  The pre-fabricated pieces bolt together but there is a significant amount of welding required. 

Track Programming – We are seeking grants to fund one or more full time paid staff members but we are taking names for cycling enthusiasts that can serve as volunteers to facilitate our programming.  No track cycling experience necessary, we will train you!!  

Equipment – We have the need for miscellaneous equipment during assembly and after the Phase I track becomes operational. 

• Rental of fork lifts during track assembly;
• Construction trailer or modular office space to house adminstrative functions;
• Storage container for secure storage of fleet of track bikes and other equipment;
• Surveying services to layout x,y coordinates for the track prior to assembly;
