State Championships
We are honoring Alan Marcosson a long time supporter of the velodrome and all around great guy and cyclist. Alan passed away in 2023.
Day #1 – Friday August 30 – 6:30pm to 8:30pm (Mass Start)
Track & Registration Opens at 5pm. $30 race entry. Racing starts at 6:30pm
Spectators Tickets – $5.00. Free for Youth under 18
Hotdogs and beverages available.
Day #2 – Saturday August 31 – 9am to 12pm (Timed Events)
Track & Registration Opens at 9am. $15 race entry. Racing starts at 10am.
Sunday TTs are low key and very beginner/novice friendly.
Mass Start Divisions:
Men Category 1/2/3; Men Category 3/4/Masters; Men Category 4/5; Women 1/2/3; Women Cat 4/5; Junior (18 and under). Note: Categories may be combined at promoter’s discretion.
Mass Starts Events:
Events will be changed at each race to give variety and will include Scratch Race, Points Race, Chariot, Miss and Out, Tempo, Match Sprint, and Time Trials. Demonstrations races will include Keirin, Team Pursuit and Team Sprint.
Mass Start Race Scoring:
Races will be scored as an omnium. Each group will be scored separately. The first five riders will be awarded points based on finish order in each event: 7,5,3,2,1 points. Total score will determine the day’s winners.
Timed Events (Sundays):
Flying 200, Time Trial (500M or 1,000M), Pursuit, Team Sprint, Team Pursuit, Match Sprint
